Preparation for Podcast Interview
Tomorrow I was due be interviewing a stamp historian for my podcast, however he had to cancel due to being busy at the last minute. However upon this, I have had time to think about how to do the podcast.
Initially I had planned on conducting the podcast as a fictional character called Graham Bramley, who to sum it up shortly is supposed to be a rather awkward and lame geek. Graham knows nothing about stamps and as such this interview will be as educational for him as it will be for his viewers. However I am unsure how "far" too take the Graham character, whether to be more subtle in my approach or more noticeable like my original introduction that I have already recorded; if I opt for the former I will likely re-record the introduction. Which "version" I use of Graham will depend greatly on the feel of the day and what I deem would be regarded as appropriate. I could even opt to completely change the character of Graham in favour of a more "dude-ish" type; the prospect of a typically "cool dude" making a podcast about postal history may be rather amusing. Perhaps Brad would be an acceptable name for this character. As I stated about my approach to Graham, the use of either Brad of Graham will depend greatly on how I feel on the day, and what the atmosphere will be like.
